Our brief was to design a training kitchen for teaching young people hospitality catering to a professional standard. The requirements were eight individual workstations and a teaching area complete with demonstration workspace.
We designed a layout that allowed each workstation to have its own cooking area, refrigeration and prep sink. The workstations were divided into two islands each with four workstations which created space for students to work independently. The six individual canopies, aligned over the key areas of the kitchen, help keep a safe atmosphere and ensure that the high quality room finishes are protected by removing the grease and steam from the kitchen.
